Quick answers about storage, permissions, exports, purchases, and keeping your rolls safe.

Saving and exports

Where did my exported photos go?

Saved photos go to your device photo library or gallery. On iPhone, they may appear in Photos and Rolls albums or folders. On Android, they may appear under collections or albums rather than the main photos feed, depending on your device and gallery app. Rolls keeps the original capture date where possible, so exported photos may appear in chronological order rather than next to your newest items.

Can I save only some photos from a roll?

Yes. You can save individual shots, selected shots, or a full roll. This helps keep your device library or gallery from filling with every shot.

Will saving again create duplicates?

It can. If some shots were already saved, Rolls lets you save only the unsaved shots to avoid adding duplicates.

Can I share photos without saving them?

Yes. You can share individual shots, selected shots, or a full roll without saving them to your device photo library or gallery. Sharing does not mark shots as saved.

Storage and privacy

Where are photos stored?

Photos captured in Rolls are stored locally on your device inside the app. They stay in Rolls unless you choose to save them to Photos or share them.

Does Rolls upload my photos?

No. Rolls does not upload, sync, or store your photos on our servers. Your rolls stay on your device unless you save or share them yourself.

What happens if I delete the app?

Rolls stores captured photos locally inside the app. Deleting the app may delete rolls that have not been saved or shared. Save important shots to your device photo library or gallery before removing the app.

Permissions

Why does Rolls need Photos permission?

Rolls asks for photo library or gallery access only when you save shots to your device. This access is used so Rolls can save exported photos and organize them where the platform supports it.

Why does Rolls ask for my location?

Rolls asks for location permission only if you choose to add capture location metadata to your photos. Location is used for photo metadata, not for uploading or tracking.

Deleting photos

Can I delete photos in Rolls?

Yes. You can delete individual shots or entire rolls from Rolls. To delete one shot, press and hold the image in the grid, then choose Delete. If you already saved a photo to your device photo library or gallery, deleting it from Rolls will not remove the saved copy.

Can deleted photos be recovered?

No. Deleting a shot or roll from Rolls permanently removes it from the app. Photos already saved to your device photo library or gallery will remain there.

Purchases and support

Why are my photos still watermarked?

Watermark removal unlocks watermark-free saves and shares. If you bought Rolls Pro or Remove Watermarks, open Settings and make sure watermarks are turned off. If the option is still locked, use Restore Purchases.
